Instead of shrinking your most popular flagship phone, why not make a supersize version of it? HTC already has the One Mini and now they come out with One Max. It could mean two things, either you’re lacking ideas or you’re smart enough to tap to an existing proven product and make it in different sizes.
Whatever it is, One Max does oozes class just like the One and the fingerprint sensor technology is something new to the phone market, so it’s a welcome addition.

It measures at 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.3 mm (6.48 x 3.25 x 0.41 in) and weighs 217 g (7.65 oz) which is quite the norm.
The One Max has a 5.9-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels or ~373 ppi pixel density. The picture it produces is nothing short of amazing. It also comes with the latest version of HTC Sense 5.5 UI for added smoothness and is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. It gets a screen upgrade compared to One’s 4.7-inch screen and Gorilla Glass 2.
With a Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon 600 chipset, a Quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor, Adreno 320 GPU as well as 2GB RAM, it definitely has much raw power inside it although it’s exactly the same as the One.
The same 4 Megapixel primary camera capable of taking pictures up to 2688 x 1520 pixels and features such as autofocus, optical image stabilization, LED flash, 1/3” sensor size, 2µm pixel size, simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. Plus a 2.1 Megapixel secondary camera which is exactly the same as One.
As for the fingerprint sensor, it certainly is a cool feature and worth the upgrade. It recognizes up to three fingers and comes with a gesture, so you get like three different shortcuts; for example one gesture to launch an app, one to launch the camera and one to unlock the phone.
Even the OS is the same as the One Max comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.3 as well as a planned upgrade to KitKat 4.4 sometime in the near future.
An option to either go for 16GB or 32GB internal storage and also a microSD slot for your expansion needs up to an additional 64GB of storage space.
It does get a nice upgrade in the battery department, with a non-removable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery compared to just a non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery. But considering that its size is also increased, it cancels out the additional 1000 mAh.
